Australia thrash Pakistan in fourth ODI

Australia went ahead 4-0 in the Commonwealth Bank series when they won the fourth ODI against Pakistan by 135 runs in Sydney on January 29. Replying to the home team’s 277 for 8, the Pakistanis were bundled out for 142.

The poor performance of the Pakistani batsmen continued as none, except young Umar Akmal, showed any real inclination to put up a fight. Umar scored 39, while Shahid Afridi made an entertaining 29 when the fate of the match had already been decided.
For Australia, Ryan Harris finished with his second consecutive five-wicket haul claiming 5 for 19.

For Australia Mike Hussey top-scored with 67 and he received good support from Nathan Hauritz who remained unbeaten with 53. Cameron White also made a useful contribution of 44. For the visitors, Mohammad Asif and Saeed Ajmal took here and two wickets for 42 and 55 respectively.

Harris was named Man of the Match.
